Today's Columbia Chronicle contains an article titled, "Roots of near-death experiences explored," regarding research at the University of Michigan Medical School:

Roots of near-death experiences explored

The story reports that a new device called an "electrocardiomatrix" calls into question the belief that the brain is inactive when the heart stops. The rush of neurotransmitters from brain to heart, researchers suggest, is creating "hallucinations."

I would be interested in hearing what the NDE experts within ASCS think about the research.
